User-defined Fields

TheBoatApp offers a User-defined Fields (Custom Fields) feature, allowing users to define and track unique attributes for their data records, such as inventory items. This feature enhances data management by providing flexibility beyond the standard fields, enabling users to tailor the application to their specific needs.

  • Configure custom fields with various formats: alphanumeric, number, date, and pick-list for pre-selected values
  • Utilise custom fields across different modules, including trip logs, operations logs, inventory, tasks, and checklists
  • Add new custom fields by specifying a name and format
  • Edit existing custom fields (though the field type cannot be changed after creation)
