Boat Continuity (Resale/New)

Boat Continuity is our promise that your boating history does not stay behind when your boat does. Sold your boat? Hand its data over to the new owner’s organisation. Bought a new one? Carry your records forward to her. Either way, your old boat stays in your organisation as a safe, read-only archive of everything exactly as it stood on the day you moved on.
A boat changes hands, but her story should not be lost at the dock. With Boat Continuity you keep your history, give the buyer a proper handover and start your next boat fully shipshape, passing on only what you choose, selectively, module by module or record by record.
  • Keep Your Past Boat’s History: Archive your old boat and keep every record, safely stored and viewable in your organisation, exactly as it was at the time of archiving
  • A Read-only Archive: An archived boat is frozen as a historical record, with view and transfer access only. No editing, no sharing and no active alerts or pre-alerts, so the archive stays a faithful log of the past
  • Archived Boats Do Not Count towards Your Plan: An archived boat works like a switched-off boat and does not count towards your plan’s boat limit, so moving on to a new boat does not mean giving up your old boat’s records
  • Transfer to the New Owner’s Organisation: Selling your boat? Send its data to the buyer’s organisation. Once the buyer accepts, the boat is added to their organisation with full access and control, as if they had set it up themselves, while you keep your archive
  • Replicate to Your New Boat: Buying another boat? Copy your old boat’s data across to your new one and carry on logging, rather than starting from a blank chart
  • Pass on Selectively: Choose what travels, from the whole boat down to a single module, such as Inventory, Maintenance, Tasks or Checklists, or even individual records picked from the table view
  • Files Travel with Their Records: Configured data, such as alerts and pre-alerts, and linked files, such as manuals and documents, stay attached to the records that you pass on
  • Keep Personal Entries Personal: With the Logbook, you might hand over only the usage records, which carry real value for maintenance history, and keep personal entries, such as social logs, to yourself
  • A Smoother Handover for the Buyer: The new owner inherits the maintenance history, manuals, inventory, tasks and checklists, instead of starting from scratch and guessing what has been done
