The Sharing feature in TheBoatApp allows users to share their boat's data with others, such as family, friends, crew, technicians, and mechanics. This promotes collaboration and ensures that all relevant parties have access to necessary information. Sharing can be configured to grant either view-only or edit rights, depending on the boat owner's preferences8. Notifications and alerts for inventory, tasks, and other due items are also sent to sharing recipients.

  • Recipient Flexibility: Recipients can be existing or non-existing TheBoatApp users, and can be Free/Essentials or Plus/Pro subscribers
  • Invitation Management: Enables the boat owner to send invitations to share and to resend invitations if needed
  • Dynamic Sharing Rights: Sharing rights can be modified or revoked at any time by the boat owner
  • Plan-based Sharing: Plus/Pro subscribers can initiate sharing, while Free/Essentials users can receive shared data but cannot share their own
