Inventory
The Inventory module is TheBoatApp's centralised asset register for your boat or fleet. It gives every owner, skipper, or fleet manager a structured, searchable record of all equipment, gear, and components on board — from the main engine and navigation electronics to safety equipment, soft furnishings, and spare parts.
Rather than relying on paper lists, spreadsheets, or memory, the Inventory brings everything into one organised, cloud-backed repository that is accessible from any device, online or offline. Each item can be enriched with rich details — make, model, serial number, purchase date, cost, photos, manuals, and custom fields — making it far more than a simple list.
The real added value lies in the module's integration with the rest of TheBoatApp ecosystem: inventory items can be linked to maintenance records, tasks, alerts, and the operations log, creating a full lifecycle view of every asset on board. This joined-up approach helps owners stay on top of servicing schedules, avoid unexpected failures at sea, protect the boat's resale value, and satisfy the due-diligence requirements of insurers, surveyors, and charterers.
